MANDATORY FESTIVAL 2012
INSURANCE REQUIREMENT
In order to participate in
Festival 2012, a current Certificate of Insurance AND Additional Endorsement
must be on file in our offices by close of registration on Monday, January 30,
2012.

| WHAT: |
To unite Southern California's finest high school theatre
students for two days of competition, inspiration, and instruction.
Out-of-area and out-of-state schools and students are welcome!

| WHO: |
Performers and designers currently enrolled in their
participating high school.
|
| WHEN: |
Friday, March 16, 2012 and Saturday, March 17,
2012
|
| WHY: |
To celebrate student achievement and to introduce high
school students to the Fullerton College Theatre Arts Department's
programs, faculty, students, and staff.
|
| HOW: |
High school instructors register online and are issued a login &
password to enroll students in acting and design categories.
Students may participate in a maximum of two (2) acting categories
(including Theatre Games), one (1) Tech Olympics team, and one (1) design
category.
On Friday morning, instructors check in and are provided with
space on campus (to be used during Festival hours of
operation). Student actors perform in one full round of
competition on Friday afternoon and one full round of competition on
Saturday morning. Student designers present their entries in one
competition round for adjudication on either Friday afternoon or Saturday
morning.
Top ranked performers in each Acting category compete in
Saturday afternoon Final rounds. After Final results are
tabulated, trophies are awarded (1st, 2nd & 3rd place) to winners
in Acting and Design categories at a formal Awards Ceremony. Written
adjudications are distributed to instructors at this time to review
with student participants. |
